Tuesday, 25 July 2019 (UN-Habitat Tehran) – The workshop on “Rapid Visual Assessment of Medical Centres (RVA)” was conducted by the United Nations Human Settlements Programme in Tehran on 24 July 2019 at the Road, Housing and Urban Development Research Centre. Some 20 technical staff from the Ministry of Health and Medical Education and medical universities participated in this workshop. This is part of capacity development activities of the Japan-funded project on “Inventory, Earthquake and Multi-Hazard Performance Evaluation of Selected Hospitals and Health Facilities in the Islamic Republic of Iran (BEHTAB)”. The workshop comprised both theoretical and practical courses. For the practical part the trainees assessed Amir Alam Hospital using the mobile application developed by BEHTAB project team.
